The ice bath is carried out in the thermal water of the ‘Kochenmoos spring’. The thermal water from a depth of around 200 metres, at the foot of the Sonnenberg, promotes muscular relaxation, rapid recovery and alleviates rheumatic complaints of the musculoskeletal system. The water, which is classified as sulphate-calcium, guarantees a feeling of neuromuscular relaxation along with a general sense of well-being. All these aspects greatly enhance the benefits of the classic ice bath.
Contraindications:
Intensive breathing techniques, winter bathing and ice baths affect heart rate, blood pressure and hormone secretion. If you have recently undergone surgery or are pregnant, some of these breathing techniques or intensive exposure to cold are not recommended. Please inform us in advance if the above applies to you.
The application should not be carried out for the following medical conditions:
- Heart disease (heart attack, angina pectoris, etc.)
- Severe high blood pressure or high blood pressure treated with medication
- Epilepsy, kidney failure
- Severe asthma, migraine, panic attacks / panic disorders
